Life Story #137 “The Countryside: Our Source of Life”

The dream of a home of one’s own is not built with bricks alone, but with the daily effort and unwavering faith of our peasant families. Life Story #137, represented by the Alzate Muñoz family, is a living reflection of our land’s resilience. From the Los Ángeles village, where distances are overcome with determination, every dawn, every workday in the coffee plantation, and every shared effort between parents and children show that when there is will, there are no difficult paths or unattainable goals.

The unity between the community and the Villa Luisa Housing Foundation is the engine that transforms hope into concrete realities. Through community work (convites), mutual support in initiatives like Ecoluisa Coffee, and consistency in every technical stage, we walk hand in hand with our families. We do not just accompany the construction of a dignified roof; we sow opportunities, cultivate family unity, and provide the youngest with the certainty that with education and discipline, life dreams do come true.

To all the members of the Portales de Villa Luisa project, this story leaves us with a forceful lesson: perseverance always bears fruit. Although the path demands patience and discipline, the key is never to stop. The story of the Alzate Muñoz family reminds us that every step taken with honesty and teamwork brings us closer to the moment we open the door to our own home. Let us move forward, united and firm, because building together we are making history. We are one, We are all!
